Parking
There is a limited number of parking spaces close to Teknikens Hus. Next to the main entrance, there are two spots for those who need to park really close for accessibility. During busy school holidays, like the autumn and winter breaks, it can be tricky to find parking close to Teknikens Hus. parking for visitors at Teknikens Hus is free of charge, state the car's registration number at reception.
Storage
We have storage lockers, and it’s free to borrow them. They are locked with a code.

What do you want to be when you grow up? At Teknikens Hus, you are free to dream! With playfulness as a heart for science and learning, we spark curiosity in children of all ages.
Explore and learn more about deep mines and outer space, the food of Norrbotten or what makes our region a perfect place for a data center. You can drive and operate a truck, a train, a snow-scooter, a timber loader or an airplane. And much more. Why not enter the world of VR and experience a shift in the mines or at the steel mill? Welcome to explore freely and dream big at Teknikens Hus!
THE PLANETARIUM
Gaze up at the sky
Join us on a curious journey into space as we explore our vast and wondrous home galaxy, the Milky Way. We take a closer look at familiar constellations, galaxies, meteors and satellites. The planetarium, located inside the globe in the heart of Teknikens Hus, gives you the opportunity to see and learn more about stars and distant planets during shows lead by our knowledgeable staff. The planetarium also projects dome films, placing you as a visitor right in the middle of the show and the universe.
Restaurant and café
Good food for hungry explorers
It takes energy to discover and explore everything in the house. In our popular restaurant, we offer lunch on weekdays and a family café during weekends. In the family café, you can buy simpler food, hot and cold drinks and ice cream and pastries. Sit down and take a breather, taste something new and refuel your engine for more curious exploration!

In our shop Kullagret you will find smart gifts for yourself or someone you like. Here you can find books, puzzles, toys, games, and much more. Come in and take a look!
Teknikens Hus is for everyone
Teknikens Hus is wheelchair accessible with ramps and elevators. Most of the exhibitions in Teknikens Hus are fully accessible for wheelchair users. If you need to borrow a wheelchair, there is one available for loan. Ask for it at the reception.
The auditorium in Teknikens Hus is equipped with a hearing loop. There are also seating areas available, both on the upper floor next to the reception and at several places in the exhibitions on the lower floor.
Thursdays and Fridays are generally quieter in the building and therefore suitable if sensory stimuli have a negative impact.
